Work is still rough. My supervisor looks like my cousin.

And i feel so bad that she is so nice to me, though i keep goofing up.
I skipped lunch to do work. And it ended up with so much problems..

I don't like navigating the streets of Taipei.

Food is still the best.

Arghh..

I want to sleep.

Donuts here are heavenly..

Day 3: Maya Woes

Salutations.

I woke up today for the first day of work feeling very "sian" and a little bit homesick.
It is great omen of what was to come.

That's the house I live in. And some random dogs :D

Then my nice hostess Nancy :) bought breakfast for me and we got a ride from her boyfriend to work.
Her office is very near to Bulky. So its on the way :D

That's her by the way.

Cheese and Egg toast + Red tea! :D SUPER NICE. I might start eating breakfast again.

Some roadsights.

And I find myself gettign increasingly car-sick/motion-sick again..

Initially coming to the company was very nerve-wrecking. Alot of the instructions given was in chinese.
And my supervisor and those who were instructing us speak way too fast way too soft and way too much in chinese! @>@

Then we went out to eat at the mini noodle shop. And it was okay, BIG portion really means BIG. Not the pirated kinds you get in Singapore, cheap skate "BIG" Wan Tan Mee which still leaves you wanting more.
I couldn't even finish that bowl

Then came the bombshell. We had to use Maya 2007. Yea lotsa problem ensued. Crabby. And that's all I can say.
Me and Hui Chii had to spend a good majority of the day figuring it out. And there's going to be a review of our progress tomorrow at 3pm. *OH NOES*

After feeeling so Crabbified. I followed Hui Chii and her nice friend, Taylor "Kor Kor" treated us to.....

BEEF NOODLES!!!!!!!!! and some side dishes..

Then we went around random walking, and me worrying about work tomorrow...

Hope tomorrow is a better day...

Day 2: Day of Typhoon

Salutations.

The sleep was great, and I felt rejuvenated in the morning.

I woke up to loud winds and heavy rain beating agianst the window.

My host family took me out for lunch to a Japanese Resturant. The food there is soo GOOD too..

It was my first time experiencing a Typhoon, the wind was very strong. Felt quite refreshing and cooling acutally.

Then we went into the 7-11 next door.
Haha I find Wang Lee Hom face on the Tea cartons extremely amusing.

Oh yea, the new Taiwan President was about to arrive at the the place we were at, News crew setting up their stuff.
But unfortunately we had to go. Some scenery on the car-ride home.

Back home, I passed the Locking/Unlocking the front door test :)
and I got a better view of the scenery from the living room :)

Typhoon watch on the news.

Think today will be mostly slacking.
Say Hi to Mister Block; My Permanent Companion in my Room during this 84 days :)

**edit**
I'm not feeling too well.. Must be the weather..
went out for a drive to buy food back to cook dinner. :)

Day 1: Touch Down in Taipei

Salutations.

As the day of flight approached nearer and nearer, the feelings of excitement were quickly being replaced with that of anxiety.

Thanks to those who sent their well wishes, and to my family and the 3 crazy girls who came down to see me off :)
And to yoke ee. Sorry we went in too early!!

It was an interesting experience flying off without your parents.
The moment I stepped in, it was freedom. Very weird sensation.
After buying some chocolates we set off for the flight gate :)

My Dear Friend Hui Chii had forgotten to take out a pair of scissors in her hand-carry bag. :)

The plane ride was rather turbulent, and there was this crazy guy sitting next to me on the plane who kept blowing his nose without a tissue and scratching himself all over... Oh and i watched Prince Caspian on board :D

And as the plane continued to shake and that irritating guy continued to fidget; My headache continually grew.

My Mum's Good friend, Aunty Isobel picked us up. She's a nice lady :) I walked passed her before she put up a piece of paper with my name on it. Then we got a car ride from her husband Uncle Tony to town, where she helped us get our Taiwan Hp no. Free in-coming! Call me if you want! :D

My wonderfully accesorized phone.

And i saw this Ghost at the Taipei Airport:

The resemblance is uncanny.

And then we had dinner with her son. His hair is so long! And apparently its alright for students to leave their hair long! ANd he's a really bubbly character :)

Dinner at a Xiao Chi was GOOOD. Thanks for the treat. They have prata in TW! but they call it something else, and the porridge was a little weird. You're supposed to put sugar into it. My fave was this Beef slice wrapped with prata and spring onions. Heavenly~

And even greater news that night was when Hui Chii called our supervsior, and due to Typhoon warnings, we DON'T HAVE TO REPORT TO WORK TOMORROW!

My headache grew probably from having to process so much chinese in 1 day. Overload..

And my Host family is really nice. Its a really warm homely environment. :)
Thank you Nancy and family :)
